${DynamicText("About this genre (loading...)")}

This genre is an iteration of //Canal-view-like-loop//. The first published instance of that ruleset is by @Bakpao in 2022, as as part of [commemorative loop mashup puzzle|https://puzpao.blogspot.com/2022/04/53-500th-puzzle-birthday-loop-mashup.html], and also, standalone on the hex grid, for [a speedsetting competition|https://puzpao.blogspot.com/2022/07/61-speedsetting-puzzle-collection.html].
The ´´full´´ constraint was not used as part of the mashup but was there in the standalone puzzle, so it is unclear whether it was part of the //Canal-view-like-loop//. If not, then both genres would be identical.

Possibly in 2021, @EricFox made a one-off puzzle to demonstrate that ruleset, but it has been lost...

The earliest reference found so far a pair is of unpublished puzzles in 2019 by @AnuragSahay using that ruleset, including the ´´full´´ constraint, but under another (new) genre name. It was inspired by Norihiko Fujimaki's ウォールロジック (Wall logic), also known as [Walls|http://inabapuzzle.com/honkaku/walls.pdf] ( Naoki Inaba) and more commonly [Four Winds|https://wpcunofficial.miraheze.org/wiki/Four_Winds] - by conversion into a loop genre. This same route was followed by @PinkHoodie more recently. Puzzles from both authors are transcribed below, alongside new ones.
